On Saturday 11 September the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison hosted a provincial school debate event at the Lowveld High School in Nelspruit.

Each learner had to talk about the issue of road safety education and social crime prevention in Mpumalanga. Kuhle Nxumalo, a grade-11 learner of KwaShuku Secondary School in Commondale took part in the prestigious competition and won! Kuhle is currently serving as the Junior Station Commander of the Piet Retief SAPS.

She received a trophy, a gold medal, a HP Laptop, wristband, a book, a face mask and two gift packs. Well done Kuhle!
