Mr Bridish Dube, principal of Ndlela Secondary School, passed away due to Covid-19 on Thursday 14 January. His wife passed away early in 2020.
He was born in Newcastle on 1 November 1956. In 1982 he started his career as a teacher at Ndlela Secondary School where he taught Natural – and Life Sciences to grade 8 – 12 learners. He served as the Subject Head for Life Science and School Guidance for the grade 10 – 12’s. In 1989 he was appointed as the Head of Department for auxiliary services and assisted learners in career education.
In 1993 he was appointed as the headmaster of the school. The school currently accommodates approximately 3 000 learners and 90 educators. He was passionate about this calling and always did his best to provide high-quality education to the scholars and a good working environment for the teachers.
Bridish Dube was also a licensed lay minister at the Saint Michael’s Anglican Church.
He leaves behind his son, three daughters and two grandchildren. Our deepest condolences to his family. May you rest in peace Mr Dube, your contribution to the community will be missed.
