On Monday 31 August at approximately 15:10, two people sustained minor injuries on Gerhard Böhmer Lane, after a vehicle collision between a Toyota taxi and a Isuzu bakkie. The cause of this accident is unknown as the drivers of these vehicles have different re-collections of what actually happened.
The driver of a white Hino lost control of his vehicle on a bend on the Pongola road on Tuesday 1 September at approximately 23:25. The road was reportedly wet and slippery. Fortunately no injuries were recorded.

One person died and two sustained minor injuries after a horrific accident on the N2 between Ermelo and Piet Retief, on Thursday 3 September at 19:30. According to the driver of the truck, who was travelling towards Piet Retief, the driver of the grey Toyota, travelling to Ermelo, made a u-turn in front of him in the road and it was inevitable to not collide.
On Saturday 5 September at about 00:10, the driver of a red Fiat lost control of her vehicle due to strong winds while travelling to Piet Retief from Ermelo. One person was treated for minor injuries.

A driver sustained serious injuries after colliding with a cow on the Pongola road on Sunday 6 September at approximately 18:50.
