Covid-19 Project clean-up

The members of the Mkhondo Fire and Rescue Unit have done their best to keep our town clean and sanitized (Covid-19 Project clean-up) to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Every day after the stores close during the lockdown, the team cleans sidewalks, parking lots and walkways of shopping centres all over town. They do this by spraying all-purpose heavy-duty cleaner through the hoses of fire trucks. They also visit the local clinics each afternoon and sanitize them.

Other areas which are cleaned by them include Amsterdam, Driefontein and the Mahamba Border Post.

Their method is effective and our shopping centres have never looked better!

Thank you for the work that you do to keep the residents of Mkhondo safe and healthy. We appreciate you!
