100 food parcels

On Friday, 1 May the management and employees of DDK Logistics, a company situated in Driefontein, handed out 100 food parcels to struggling community members.

The parcels contained much-needed items such as rice, cooking oil, soup and canned foods and were delivered to residents of Saul Mkhizeville, Donkerhoek and Kransbank, Ward 1 and Ward 2.

The Coronavirus crisis has had an enormous negative effect on job and food security in South Africa and it is probable that more people will die of hunger than of the virus.

It is of the utmost importance that the companies and individuals who have the means to assist the less fortunate, please do so. Without kind gestures like these, many children, grandparents, and parents, who are currently unable to work and provide for their families, could possibly die of hunger.

Thank you DDK Logistics, you have made a big difference.
