Visibility operation

On Friday night, 24 January members of AfriForum, the SAPS and the Traffic Department banned together in Visibility operation to patrol the streets of Mkhondo.

35 members of AfriForum were present, as well as 16 SAPS officers and one traffic official. The operation started at 18:00 on Friday and ended at approximately 06:00 on Saturday.

Everyone involved in this worthy cause enjoyed a delicious meal together, which was prepared by five stalwarts – thank you. During the night, one person was arrested for driving under the influence, one for driving without a licence and one for reckless driving.

Members of AfriForum would like to thank Colonel Thela, Station Commander of the Mkhondo SAPS, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Blose for making their officers available for the night. Working together will ensure the safety of the community of Mkhondo.

Thank you to the various businesses who sponsored food and refreshments, and everyone who took part in the ope-ration. We appreciate your efforts!
