Mkhondo teachers unite to praise the Lord

Mkhondo teachers and governing body members of the Mkhondo area came together at the Piet Retief Town Hall to give thanks to God for keeping them safe during the 2019 school year.

Mkhondo teachers who were present were dressed in yellow and they started the event with glorious praise and worship songs. Proverbs 8: 6-8 was the word of the day.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. (King James Version)

“Teachers are unparalleled in the role they play in children’s lives.”Jon Porter

This message was suitable for this day. Teachers often spend more time with scholars than what their own parents do, they have a responsibility to enrich children’s minds, support them and teach them to learn.

Being a Mkhondo teachers in a third world country is not only extremely challenging, but can also be very dangerous. They often face difficult situations and this is why they thanked God for keeping them safe and helping them to perform their duties.

Thank you to all the Mkhondo teachers who truly love, support and teach our children. We appreciate you more than you could ever know!
