Healthy Habits TWK Night Run

On Wednesday, 9 October the TWK Healthy Habits team hosted a Night Run at the Welverdiend Guesthouse & Function Venue.

180 people put on their running shoes, decorated themselves with glow sticks and braved the dark night.  Runners/walkers could choose between a four kilometre and an eight kilometre route.

The results were as follows:

Four kilometre men:

  1. Hakamani Kunene – 13:45
  2. Sibusiso Gulespusa – 14:41
  3. Sabelo Sibeka – 18:06

Four kilometre ladies:

  1. Monique Schoeman – 25:18
  2. Magda Barnard – 25:34
  3. Brenda Buys – 26:13

Eight kilometre men:

  1. Sipho Hlatshwayo – 29:40
  2. Bongani Banda – 30:48
  3. Mxolise Madlopha – 32:14

Eight kilometre ladies:

  1. Annerie Pienaar – 37:42
  2. Claire McKerr – 40:45
  3. Meagan Pie-naar and Milou Diederen – 45:29

After their run, participants could enjoy some delicious refreshments whilst they talked about the experience and what a wonderful initiative it was. To the organizers; congratulations on a successful event!
