It is also good for your mental health.
Noticing the progression of your times will give you a sense of achievement and having a goal, even if it is only for Parkrun, will motivate you to keep going. Setting a goal helps trigger new behaviours, guides your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life.
A special thank you to the volunteers of the week: Conrad Alwyn Bekker, Sarel Bekker, Ericia Bouwer, Jeremy Carr, Vicky Hancock, Ronika Ramprased, Antje Taljaard and Phumelele Zondo. Without your contributions these events will not be possible. For more information kindly contact Carol Carr on 083 325 4492 or visit www.parkrun.co.za

Feel free to get to know your fellow Parkrunners by joining the Parkrun volunteers or participants for a post-Parkrun coffee.
It saddens us greatly to inform the public that someone has stolen several of the Parkrun’s new permanent route marking poles.
If anyone has more information about what happened to them, please contact Carol Carr on 083 325 4492.
A gentle reminder that the Parkrun will start at 07:00 on Saturday, 5 October.
