mPACT soccer tournament

On Friday 26 April, Mpact said goodbye to Mr Richard Wass who is leaving the company due to retirement.

Mr Wass has been a part of the Mpact team since 2005 and will still be working there twice a week for the next year. He says that it has been a pleasure to work for the company and that he has come to love the town of Piet Retief, but will enjoy travelling while on pension. The tournament was held at the Mandla Magudulela Stadium in eThandukukhanya.

Four of the departments in the business signed up their teams and the fun began at 13:00 and went on until 17:00. The four teams were Engineering, DHF, Capacity and Production. The first game was between Engineering and DHF – Engineering won 1-0. The second game was between Capacity and Production – Capacity won 2-0.

The final was played between Engineering and Capacity, the game ended in a draw and Engineering won 5-4 with a penalty shoot-out. Members of the winning team each received a gold medal and the team received a trophy, the second placed team members each received a silver medal. Thank you for all who participated in these games. Mr Wass, you will surely be missed.
