Piet Retief Primary’s first mini-sport tournament for 2019

With great excitement and cheerful faces, Piet Retief Primary School’s junior rugby -, hockey -, and netbal teams were ready for the mini-sport tournament, on Saturday, 13 April.

Mini-sport tournament matches started at 08:30 and teams from schools such as Amersfoort Primary School, Amsterdam Primary School, Ermelo English Primary School, NRS (Nuwe Republiek School, Vryheid), Paulpietersburg Primary School, Pionier Primary School (Volksrust), Pongola Primary School and Wittenberg School, were all welcomed.

On this warm and sunny day, the parents, spectators and all the teams had a day filled with good sportsmanship. This was also the first matches for all the grade 1 rugby -, hockey – and netball teams.

Well done to all the teams and a warm-hearted thank you to the individuals who offered their assistance at the food stalls, the selling of tickets or helping during the matches. Thank you to Piet Retief Primary School’s staff members for all your hard work in making the day a huge success.
