“Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening.” – Mahatma Ghandi (He was the leader of India’s non-violent independence movement against British rule)
On Thursday, 24 January, personnel of Piet Retief Hospital held a Prayer Day, which was seen as a build up to the Provincial Day of Prayer which would follow the next week.
The purpose of prayer day was to remember all the hospital staff members who passed away during 2018. It was hosted to provide an opportunity for debriefing, motivation and to boost the morale of workers at the hospital. Mrs Anneke Rabe addressed the employees and encouraged them to always believe and trust in the Lord and to love one another.
“Only through love and reconciliation will we be able to build South Africa and the Hospital,” she said. Pastor T.X. Motha, of the Moving Church, encouraged the guests to forget all the negative things that happened in the past and focus on the positive things of the future.
Management and staff members of Piet Retief Hospital also had the opportunity to take part in Prayer sessions. This event left the hospital staff in high spirits. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the organisation and execution of this special day.
