During the second week of December, 25 apprentices from the Amsterdam area enrolled in an Agricultural Leadership Course (Plant Production) and it was a first in the history of the township in Amsterdam.

These Agricultural Leadership Course learners have not only taken their journey to heart but have also expanded their entrepreneurial development skills.

On Wednesday, 12 December, these participants celebrated their success by enjoying a braai. The event was celebrated together with their Verge Academy facilitator, Mr Sibusiso Mbuli and the Mpumalanga Provincial coordinator, Mr Bongani Dlamini.

The apprentices would like to take this opportunity to thank their class representatives, Thuli Mavuso and Nature Khumalo as well as the Manager of Amsterdam DARDLEA (Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs), Mr S. Makhabe, as well as all the departmental staff members and officers who assisted.
