A few months ago, the Excelsior News reported on Piet Retief’s own 16-year old entrepreneur who started his own business called “Kota King Box” at Mall@Mfula.
Mfezeko could only work on Saturdays as he is still attending school but he decided to enter into the Scooler Entrepreneur Movement where he stood the chance to win R100 000-00 in cash.
By Monday, 5 November 2018, Scooler announced the Top 20 and Mfezeko’s profile appeared on the website as part of the Top 20 applicants, and on Monday, 12 November, they announced the Top 10 entrepreneurs and he made it amongst the Top 10 candidates as well – congratulations!

Mfezeko won R10 000-00 worth of coaching and training to make a success of his business. He has also been asked to be an ambassador for the Scooler competition for 2019, which will motivate other young entrepreneurs who have a passion for business.
The 2018 Scooler Entrepreneur Movement winner was Chris van Gass, a learner from the Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool, and the nine remaining entrepreneurs in the Top 10, each received R10 000-00 for training.
