Re-launch of Amsterdam Crime Prevention Forum

On Sunday, 14 October, at around 14:00, the Amsterdam CPF (Crime Prevention Forum) held a meeting at the Umlambo Combined School in Thokozani Village.

The re-launch of the Amsterdam Crime Prevention Forum was discussed and the following volunteers were selected: Chairperson – Mr Mbongiseni Thabeteh Deputy Chairperson – Mr Mboni Manyathi Secretary – Mr Thabiso Dladla Deputy Secretary – Ms Ntombi Ngwenya Treasurer – Mr Reagana Hendwood Additional Member – Ms Zanele Sukazi The community of Amsterdam supported the event and showed a positive attitude towards working with the police and CPF volunteers.

The Station Commander, Captain Shange, was praised at the event for his enthusiasm and positive stance. On Thursday, 18 October, a CPF Cluster Level workshop was held at the Piet Retief Town Hall. Stakeholders such as the SAPS, CPF, DCSSL (Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison), Tourism Safety Patrollers, Chiefs, Operation Wanga Tsotsi and community forums were present.

Certificates for the attendees of this workshop will be issued by the DCSSL. Thank you to everyone who offered their free time to attend the workshop. Together, we can fight the war against crime and violations in Mkhondo.
