BGF celebrates Mandela Month

Sunday, 1 July, marked the beginning of Mandela Month and the Beauty Grootboom Foundation started the month’s celebrations by visiting the new born babies at Piet Retief Hospital’s Maternity Ward, born on 1 July 2018.

Beauty congratulated the mothers with their new bundles of joy and gave them each a blanket, clothing and a bucket full of baby essentials. Beauty would like to ask the community to commemorate Mandela Month by acting peacefully towards one another and to practice selfdiscipline when confronted by situations that can result in violence.

It is also important to open your heart and your hands and give to the less fortunate. Thank you to Ackermans Piet Retief, Mr Rob Wilson, Mr Kunene, the Municipal Manager at Mkhondo Local Municipality, the Traffic Department, Pastor Tom McSeveney, Wimpy Piet Retief and Essa Tyres for your continuous support and donations towards the Beauty Grootboom Foundation.

Furthermore, toys will be donated to crèches within the Driefontein area and learners from a Sunday school will visit Mkhondo FM to talk about their faith, during the month of July. The foundation is in urgent need of winter clothing and blankets to assist people who really don’t have these essential items.

Groceries that can be used to cook for elderly people are also needed and paint to help renovate old buildings is required. If you would like to donate, please contact Beauty on 084 810 4172.
