Something Old, Something New

Something Old, Something New is the new secondhand store that opened its doors in February.

The Something Old, Something New store is located in the TyreMart building, next to The Diner on West End. It sells donated clothes and goods and uses all their proceeds to help the less fortunate in the community.

The profits made are used to buy food or other goods and this is given to needy community members. The clothing stocked in the shop, is also given to poverty stricken individuals and families.

The owner of Something Old, Something New, Lana Coetzer, works hand-in-hand with the Christian Social Council and supports them when needed. If the CSC does not have clothing available in a person’s size at that stage, they are directed to Lana, who then helps them with the stock in store.

If you have any old clothes or houseware only gathering dust, and you think someone else might be able to use it, drop it off at the shop, or contact Lana at 081 270 3060 and someone can collect it from you.

Lana believes that, if everyone works together and gives a little, a big change can be made to alleviate poverty in our community. Support Something Old, Something New and be part of the positive change that will be made in the community.

The shop is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00 and the first and last Saturday of each month, from 08:00 to 11:00.
