Marantha’s Golf and Market Day

On Saturday the 4th of November, Maranatha held its 7th annual Golf and Market Day. The day was filled with great excitement, food and of course a very competitive golf field.

With a full field the players had to endure the heat and they had to anticipate the speed of the newly redone green. Congratulations to J. Bender and A. Albasini (1st), JP du Toit and A. van Zuydam (2nd) and S. Juma and R. Savlos (3rd). We would like to congratulate the Tyremart team for winning the competition as well as G.W. Grobler (Tyremart Team) for getting a hole-in-one on the 6th hole.

The day was a great success and we would like to thank the following companies for their support: Piet Retief Golf Club, Stucky Motors, Farmers Agri-Care, Berno’s Butchery, Bakenkop Farm, Raveens Auto Spares, McManus Nissan, HP Power Transmission, Lottenburg, Volkers, Northern Natal Seedlings, M & R Oil, NCT, Mpact, Delft and BMG.

A special thanks to: LMS Insurance for sponsoring holes, players and the hole-in-one insurance. LESH, Normandien Farms and Thirsti Water for the wonderful watering holes. SAPPI for the great welcome at the entrance and gifts you distributed. KB Day Farm and The Plaas Slaghuis for all the prizes.

JP du Toit who ensured that the day ran smoothly. The staff and parent body of Maranatha School for your assistance and support. We thank every person who assisted and contributed to making this day a success. We look forward to next year’s Golf Day.
