Jack Nicklaus Wednesday’s 9-hole competition

“It takes hundreds of good golf shots to gain confidence, but only one bad one to lose it” – Jack Nicklaus Wednesday’s 9-hole competition saw three players ending with 21 points.

A count out had to be done and the winner was Danie Bruwer followed by his wife Annatjie and in third place Leon Niebuhr. Danie and Annatjie both had a two club. Leon also won the Jackpot. Well done to these three on playing excellent golf!! The Annual General meeting was held on Wednesday evening.

The outgoing committee with Richard Wass as chairman, must be thanked for their dedication and loyalty during the last year. It surely is not always an easy and pleasant task. We appreciate your hard work sincerely. Baie geluk aan die nuwe sentrale komitee. Anthony Wilson is gekies as die nuwe voorsitter en hy gaan bygestaan word deur Andries Massina, Andre Croeser en Naresh Singh.

Now that he has no chairman’s responsibilities, he is playing better golf. Second with the best gross of 83 was Leon Niebuhr and Lappies Labuschagne was third with a nett of 72. A word of thanks again to Pick n Pay for sponsoring the Monthly Mug. Vrydag, 8 September, beloof om goeie weer te hê en almal word herinner aan die Chicken run 9-gat kompetisie wat weereens deur Farmpure Meats geborg word.

Other important dates: 15 September – MPACT day 16 September – Normal 18 hole IPS competition 22 September – Farmpure Meats 9-hole 23 September – Betterball competition 30 September – Normal 18-hole IPS competition Spring is really in the air and we hope to see a lot of golfers on our course. Happy golfing!!!
