SoNA 2017 Live Viewing with the Principals

It was indeed an honour for the learners of eZimbali Boarding School to gather to watch President Zuma’s State of the Nation Address (SONA), with the Honourable Executives of Mkhondo Local Municipality.

On the 9th of February 2017, the Department of Government Communications and Information System together with the Mkhondo Local Municipality, assembled at eZimbali Boarding School with the purpose of educating and allowing the heroes and heroines of tomorrow to have a better understanding of what the Government has accomplished, and also to outline the program of action for the financial year ahead.

The Executive Mayor, Councillor Vusi Motha and his dignitaries graced the event to watch the public viewing of the SoNa with the learners. The Executive Mayor then summarized the speech to the learners, where he further sketched some of the few key points addressed by the President.

He then wrapped up his summary by stating that “we must work together as a nation in fighting the problem of drought.” In closing, Ward 19 Cllr, Mr Ngobese, thanked everyone present for taking their time to attend this fundamental and educational event.
