Teacher’s Prayer

The Christian Fellowship Committee in Mkhondo held a Teacher’s Prayer on Thursday, the 27th of October, at the Mkhondo Local Municipal Town Hall.

The aim of the prayer was to celebrate the good work done by teachers of Mkhondo during the year as well as to motivate them to stay focussed during the examination period which all learners are currently busy with. The day was opened by a band who entertained the audience with song and dance.

Afterwards, Dr Janet Khumalo from the Christian Fellowship Committee, introduced the guests and afforded Apostle Malidzisa the opportunity to start with his sermon. This annual event was started in 1999 and is currently running for the 18th year.

The organisers of the Annual Prayer Day are very proud to announce that they are working hard every year not to only make the event a success but to present a positive message to each teacher who attends the prayer. The Christian Fellowship Committee wishes to thank all the schools who were involved and contributed to making the day a huge success.

They would also like to thank the Executive Mayor, Honourable Cllr V. Motha, for attending the prayer day and taking part in the proceedings of the event. Remember, a teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart forever – so thank you to each and every teacher who is doing more than their bit by giving the children the best possible education anyone could ask for.
