Home Crime Protests No to Child Abuse!

No to Child Abuse!

On Friday, 11 November, the team from Amsterdam Social Development hosted a walk against child abuse.

The walk started at Izimbali Combined Boarding School, crossing the main street and ending at the Social Development building. The aim of the walk was to promote a protective environment for children, free from violence, child abuse, trafficking and exploitation.

It was also done to raise awareness in the community against child abuse, as well as to educate the youth on how to handle the child abuse situation and also what to do if a child is abused and where to report it. From young to old participated in the event. It is not always easy for a child to come out and say they are being abused, so the Everyone who participated, with smiles on their faces community should also be able to see the signs and take action where needed.

Amsterdam Social Development would like to thank everyone who participated in the event, as well the SAPS, Traffic Department, various pre-schools and their teachers. A huge thank you to the Amsterdam Social Development for organising the event.
