IPS competition

On Wednesday, 9 November, golfers enjoyed a lovely IPS competition, with new and old faces taking part.

The past week saw golfers showing up in numbers again to participate in the weekly competition. Danie Bruwer was the golfer to beat, posting a score of 23 to win on the day, Rusty van Zuydam came in second with 20 points, followed by Ulrich Beyers in third with 19 points. Two clubs were made by, Martin Coetzer, Henk Nel and Wimpie Bruwer.

Well done boys! On Saturday, 12 November, it was yet again time for the “Monthly Mug” competition. It was a beautiful sunny day and the players could once more enjoy playing the game they love so much.

Justice Dlamini came out on top winning with the best gross score and Andries Masina claimed the medal, both walking away with a delicious Farmpure hamper. Anthony Wilson and André Croeser were the lucky winners of the Pick n Pay vouchers. Congratulations to all the winners! Players are reminded of the “Ryder Cup”, taking place on Saturday, 26 November, at Piet Retief Country Club.

This will form part of the year end function and the day will end with a scrumptious dinner. The lists for the “Ryder Cup” are on the notice board and everyone who would like to participate, can place their names on the list. The golfers would like to thank Jan and his team for maintaining the course, they are doing a brilliant job and the course looks simply amazing.
