On Tuesday, 25 October, just after 07:00, a huge abnormal load passed through town, causing a big roadblock.
Due to the size of the load, the Traffic Department, as well as the Emergency Services had to jump into action to block off the crossings to the main road to ensure that the abnormal load wasn’t held up. The load stretched from the one side of the road to the other, making it impossible to pass.
Residents had to quickly move their vehicles from the parking spaces in the main street, otherwise their vehicles would’ve been crushed. The drivers of the abnormal tried their best to pass through town without any hassles, but the load was too big and it unfortunately broke two street lights. Residents were in awe, watching the load pass through town.
We would all like to thank the Traffic Department, as well as the Emergency Services for ensuring that the load passed through speedily and without any major obstruction to the resident’s daily schedules.
