Recently, Dr Wanda, paid a visit to Alpha and Omega School – what an exciting and enlightening visit it was!
Wanda Evans Brewer is a motivational speaker with a Ph.D in education, from there the nickname “Dr Wanda”. She recently paid a visit to Alpha and Omega School where she discussed various teaching issues such as research work, advising teacher to keep a porfolio of what they do at the school as well as teaching models and strategies that are used in their classrooms. Dr Wanda also advised the educators to advance themselves career wise.
For instance in psychology, where they may be able to assist learners with special needs. This topic raised a lot of attention among the teachers and made them realise that there are other fields to advance to after acquiring teaching degrees. She definitely provided the teachers with a new, inspiring outlook on their profession. She also had a short conversation with the monitors of 2016, explaining to them that they are basically the superheroes of the school, when they wear their blazers and badges.
This made their day! Dr Wanda provided the monitors with kind words of wisdom regarding leadership skills and how to be a role-model for someone else. Truly a remarkable woman! The teachers and learners at Alpha and Omega would like to thank Dr Wanda for taking time off her busy schedule to come and visit them. Her message and inspirational speech made an impact on everyone involved.
