What’s Happening at the Licensing Office?

The new Mkhondo Licensing Office has already been open for a while now, but when will it be fully operational?

As most residents know by now, the new licensing office is located on the way to eThandukukhanya. The doors are open and the systems are in place, but most of the infrastructure has not been completed and not all the normal services are available yet. A resident from eMkhondo has apparently already visited the office five times to have her vehicle’s licence renewed, but has not yet succeeded.

According to her, she went to the office the first time to renew the licence, but found the system off-line. After a while she then revisited the office, only to find the system off-line yet again? After trying to contact the head of the department, more than once, we have failed to obtain any information regarding the status of the office. So when will the office be operational again and when will the residents be able to renew licences without any hassles?
