Dear Mr Editor. After campaigning for a period of more than 18 months, we have finally come to the end of the 2016 Municipal Elections.
Some of us are excited and others disappointed with the final results in Mkhondo, but alas we are grateful that the elections went without serious incidents. We experienced minor discrepancies at some of the voting stations, which will be dealt with by the IEC Provincially and indeed the DA Provincial Office. The DA Caucus is pleased to announce that we have four councillors to represent the community of Mkhondo at the Local Council.
They are: Irene Brussow. Ward 7 Councillor Jabu Methula. PR Councillor Sihle Mahlobo PR Councillor Rob Wilson. PR Councillor We would like to thank each and everyone who went out on the 3rd of August to cast their vote. We appreciate each vote! As DA Councillors we pledge:
• To work towards stopping corruption, creating jobs and delivering better services
• To represent all the people of our wards and Mkhondo Municipality
• To maintain the highest levels of personal integrity and professional conduct in everything we do
• We understand that we will be removed from office if we fail to live up to this pledge.
Regards Irene, Jabu, Sihle and Rob DA Caucus Mkhondo Municipality
