Sinethemba Shines In The Annual Circuit Awards – On Thursday, the 26th of May, Wakkerstroom Circuit held its academic achievement awards at Daggakraal under the direction of the circuit manager, Mr F.I. Mofokeng.

The aim was to award the top achieving educators in all subjects according to the 2015 final results. Learners were also awarded for their performance in the March tests and Sinethemba stole the spotlight. One subject after another, Sinethemba educators and students were called to the stage to receive the awards.

The following teachers from the school were awarded for top achhievement in their various subjects:

Mr J.M. Mattu for Business Studies, Mr W. Mashuro for English, Mr P. Murwisi for Mathematics, Miss M. Tsotetsi for Accounting and Mr N. Kgofelo for Agricultural Science.

The following students were awarded for best achievement in the various subjects:

Siphamandla Kubheka for EGD, Sanele Mavuso for EGD, Stembiso Ndlosi for Electrical Technology and Temakhosi Dlamini for English and CAT. Siphamandla Kubheka, Sanele Mavuso, Sthembiso Ndlosi and Temakhosi Dlamini To add to the many accolades, the award for Best Student Overall went to Sinethemba’s Head Girl 2016, Temakhosi Dlamini and the award for the most bachelors in 2015 went to Sinethemba Secondary School.

Sinethemba is known for its 100% pass rate in matric results and was commended by Mr Mofokeng for its excellent contribution in the circuit’s matric results. Even though the school obtained a 96% pass rate with the highest number of bachelors in the circuit in 2015, it is determined to rise again.
