Khayelihle Christmas Party

Khayelihle Christmas Party – Christmas is a time for giving and sharing… and that’s what FNB Volunteers together with the Correctional Services and the Mayor did.

Khayelihle Old Age Centre was spoilt and blessed with an awesome Khayelihle Christmas party. The citizens of Khayelihle was overwhelmed when Pick n Pay sponsored them with vouchers to cater for a hearty breakfast. The elderly was overjoyed and appreciated every effort made by Pick n Pay to make their day fulfilled. After that all was not over as the Mayor, Councillor B.H.

Mtshali together with the Correctional Services joined forces and entertained the elderly with a braai.Music and laughter filled the air as the members of Khayelihle was filled with the Christmas spirit. Juanita van den Berg and her team from FNB Volunteers supplied a huge spread of desert and a Christmas cake, celebrating with the elders and bringing smiles to their faces. Juanita said “that just by adding a smile on the faces of the older generation, is gratitude enough to acknowledge that they have done a great job”.

The members of Khayelihle is really grateful to all that made their Christmas party a huge success. It’s good to know that our local businesses and the community take time out of their busy schedules to acknowledge and show the elderly that they do care for them. This was clearly displayed by all the sponsors’ efforts. Khayelihle Old Age Centre would like to thank all sponsors that went beyond the extra mile to make their holiday season start off with a bright spark.
