Citizen FC celebrating winning the Mkhondo Development League 2015

Mkhondo LFA has concluded the 2015 season of the Mkhondo Development League for the under 13, under 15 and under 17 boys divisions.

The Mkhondo LFA league played from 21 February 2015 until 14 November 2015 with eleven (11) clubs in the under 13 & under 15 divisions. The under 17 division was contested by sixteen (16) clubs. Citizen FC won the under 13 & under 15 divisions in year 2014 and this year the club won the league in all three divisions.

They won the under 13 division by seven (7) points, three (3) points in the under 13’s and two (2) points in the under 17 division. Citizen FC is owned by Mr Jackson Zwane and coached by the best development coach in the country, Mr Sandile ‘Msandy” Kunene. Citizen Football Club is based in Eziphunzini and the players have their training ground at Eziphunzini as well. The club walked away with trophies, medals, soccer balls and football training equipment from the FIFA 2010 WC Legacy Trust Fund.

The Mkhondo LFA would like to thank Mr Lindani Vundla for buying the medals and trophy for the under 17 division and the FNB manager Mr Tich Dlamini and his FNB Piet Retief staff, for donating the trophies for the under 13 and under 15 divisions. The 2015 season will begin on January 23, 2016.
