Uzwelo Home Appreciates Kindness

Continuous involvement and support by members of the community are appreciated tremendously by the staff and children at Uzwelo Children’s Home.

Brian Boswell invited all the kids to the Circus on Thursday afternoon, 17 September. They had a most enjoyable outing and the children loved every minute. What a treat it was for them. Like NTC, other friends of Uzwelo also donate and help on a continuous basis. The Baxters of the Abilene Poultry Farm have been supplying the home with eggs for years and they are still doing so. This is much appreciated. Eggs, after all, form an important part of the children’s balanced diet. Children at Uzwelo have to leave the home at the required age, which is 18.

One such a young man is Tshepo, who now does part-time work over weekends and during holidays to enable him to pay for his schooling, lodging and meals. He was recently given a computer by Compuworx, in partnership with Uzwelo Home, to aid him to complete his matric studies. Thank you, Compuworx, for sponsoring and supplying all the necessary equipment for this young man. The staff and children at Uzwelo thank “an awesome community for sticking together”.
