During the first weekend and week of the school holidays, lovely arts and crafts were on display and for sale in the main road.
This is done annually as part of the exposure given to members of the Arts and Crafts Co-operative of the Mkhondo Municipality, where the Municipality tries to expose these artists and crafters and promote the sales of their wares. All materials for the making of the pieces of art and craft are provided by approved service providers and all participants are trained in the various technical skills they need in order to complete their articles.
They are capacitated with the necessary business management skills as well – all under the umbrella of the Urban-Econ Development Economists. Lovely articles were on sale during the first week of October and sales were good. Mkhondo Safety Security monitors were on duty all the time. Thank you. Should you be interested in any of the articles they make or want more information about the Cooperative, contact the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform or the Mkhondo Municipality.
