Maranatha Learners do it Again

The grade 7 learners at Maranatha have won the Provincial round of the Astro Quiz Competition.

It is the second year in a row that the Maranatha grade seven science learners go through to the National Finals of the competition. (The 2014 group came fourth, Nationally). The learners are looking forward to the National competition as the outing is really something special. Except for staying over in an accommodated area for two nights and three days, a highlight of the excursion is a visit to the Science Centre at the University of Pretoria.

Here the visiting learners experience interactive experiments and see pure science – a definite special visit for any learner interested in science. Congratulations also to Mrs Anne Slabbert, science teacher at Maranatha for having a winning team in the final round, two years consecutively.

Congratulations to the team of learners too and good luck for the National Finals in October. Maranatha School’s teachers, parents and learners are extremely proud of you!
