Casual Day Raffle at MMH

Mpumalanga Mental Health had a fundraiser that reached its height on Friday, 4 August – National Casual Day. The, by now wellknown, stickers for disabled persons were also sold by MMH’s staff and helpers.

An extra initiative for fundraising at the Piet Retief office was a raffle. A lovely handmade, single bed sized “TV blanket” was raffled, specifically to raise funds for mentally challenged or disabled persons. The blanket was made and donated by Mrs Santjie Hattingh and tickets were sold at R10 each.

The draw took place at the offices of MMH in Piet Retief on 4 September and the lucky winner was Mr Bartie Coetzee, from the Mahamba Police. Thank you very much for the blanket, Santjie and congratulations, Bart! The blanket seems to have been received just in time for the sudden cold weather experienced recently.
