On Wednesday, 7 November 2018, Normandien representatives were welcomed by about 250 smiling children, chanting “Viva Normandien! Viva” and “open the gates, Normandien is coming”.
The installation of a water well was celebrated with soul-stirring song and dance performed by the children of Yellowstone Primary School. In her speech, the principal, Mrs F.K. Thabethe, publicly honoured Normandien management and expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation for the commitment and support received by Tekwani.
Not only will this borehole provide the children with fresh, clean drinking water, but they will now also be able to plant and grow their own vegetables and fruit. Their excitement and joy at the prospect of having their own gardens was captivating.
We pray that this gift of life will continue to bless and sustain the school in the future. Normandien is proud to be able to assist in the upliftment and sustainable development of the local community in which we operate.
