O/12 Dogters Ntombi Nene (3de), Cherene Brits (1ste) en Olwethu Zwane (3de)

On the 24th of June 2016 Piet Retief Primary School leaners had the opportunity to participate in the Interhouse Cross Country event held at the school.

Congratulations to everyone that made an effort and did their best. Baie geluk aan die volgende leerders wat 1ste tot 3de plekke behaal het. Mooi so Pieties! Vir die O/7 dogters was Gizelle van den Berg eerste, Renee Malgas tweede en Asanda Mkhaliphi derde. By die O/7 seuns was Mitchell Bekker eerste, met Ruben Viljoen in die tweede plek en Bruno Niebuhr derde.

First place for the U/8 girls went to Vida Boshoff, second was Kyla Oosthuizen and third S’nothile Xaba. The winner for the U/8 boys was S’thelo Shiba, second place went to Owethu Fakude and the third spot was taken by Glodi Tshipamba. Vir die O/9 dogters het Siya Sibanjoni gewen gevolg deur Ursula Nyawo in die tweede plek en derde was Zama Nhlabathi. Die O/9 seunswenner was Andre Boshoff met SJ van Barneveld tweede en Gilles van der Meulen in die derde plek.

The U/10 girls winner was Kate Bekker, with Esna Erasmus in second and Siphelele Mhlanga in third place. For the U/10 boys Sinokhonke Zwane won, Tiaan Korff came in second and Dylan McManus was third. Die O/11 dogterswenner was Nqobile Masuku, tweede was Amanda Dube en derde Mariska van Aardt. By die O/11 seuns het Louwtjie Pretorius gewen, tweede was Adriaan Moolman en derde Ntombi Nene. The U/12 girls first place went to Cherene Brits, second place to Olwethu Zwane and third place to Ntombi Nene.

The U/12 boys winner was Mthobisis Nkosi, second place was Dylan Gertenbach and third place was taken by Tian Jansen. O/13 dogters eerste plek is behaal deur Carla Niebuhr, tweede plek het gegaan aan Karlien Werner en in die derde plek was Luyanda Nkosi. Vir die O/13 seuns het Zanokuhle Hadebe eerste gekom, Devan Smit tweede en Makabongwe Nkonyane derde. The cross country event was a joyful way to end the second school term. The coaches and learners are now looking forward to all the cross country events planned for the third term.
