The CPF in Mkhondo are doing a great job, assisting the SAPS and also the traffic officers.
Seeing that members of the CPF do not wear uniforms, they cannot always be identified easily and this makes conducting something like a roadblock quite difficult. A need for some reflective clothing which improves safety, possible identification and visibility, especially at night, was identified. TWK has come to the rescue. Mr Ferdie Brauckmann, General Manager at TWK (Wood) handed over the necessary reflective bibs and torches at a small function held at the SAPS cluster office, on Wednesday morning, the 24th of February.
Col Thango, station commander, Piet Retief CSC, welcomed everyone present and thanked TWK in advance for this welcome and much needed donation. Lt A. Uys, also the hostess, set proceedings rolling and Mr Brauckmann explained why they had made the donation. Practical bibs and super torches were handed over to Col Thango for the CPF to use. Everytime a roadblock is conducted and the CPF is concerned, they can simply fetch the relative clothing and torches from the SAPS and return same afterwards. Now residents can rest assured that the CPF will be able to even better serve the community.
