Harmony Park “Scientists” go all the Way

After taking part in the countrywide Mondi Astro Quizz Science competition, two learners from the Harmony Park Combined School took it a little further.

Thembeka Nkosi and Nontokoza Motha entered the Environmental competition on Climate Change, a competition organised by Nonhlanla Zwane from Enviro, which took place at the Amsterdam Evironmental Centre, on 21 October 2015. The girls made it through the first rounds and won when representing their school. They also represented the town and the Gert Sibande District. Only one of them could be part of the Mpumalanga team, however, when the different provinces took part in the clash at the Elukwatini Environment Centre.

This honour was bestowed on Thembeka Nkosi who took part as member of the Mpumalanga team, on 30 November. The results for the interprovincial Environmental competition on Climate Change are currently being awaited, but science teacher Ms Nkosinomsa Ntuli and other staff, as well as fellow learners of the Harmony Park Combined School would like to congratulate these two learners for taking it so far! You did the school, town and region proud! Well done! Those results are now awaited in anticipation …
