grade 1
grade 1 excursion
It was time for the annual grade one excursion to a farm on Thursday, 12 November. And so, yet another grade 1 group got the opportunity to go on an outing to a farm.

On the morning of Thursday, 12 November, all the grade 1 were very excited. They had not only dressed for the outing to the farm, but they also came well prepared with more kinds of eats than one can imagine. They sang all the way to the farm, trying to get the time to pass by quicker. At the farm, the children had the opportunity to see all kinds of animals and birds. They also went on a bush hike and could buy sweets at the tuck shop.

Lastly, but not the least and probably their favourite, was the “slip and slide”! They loved every minute of it and did not want to get off the “slip and slide” again! Every single child that went on the outing really enjoyed it. They even wanted to sleep over for the night! Apart from all the fun they had, they all learnt and saw something new. Thank you to all the grade one teachers for all their hard work and for accompanying the group of learners. It really was a very successful day. The 2016 grade 1’s definitely have something to look forward to …
